Memorial day to honor active and former soldiers of the Bundeswehr. Veterans' Day will take place for the first time on June 15, 2024. The introduction of the day of remembrance was decided by the German Bundestag on 24.04.2024.

The German-American Friendship Festival will once again take place in May this year. From May 18 to 26, 2024, the popular festival will take place on the grounds of the former US airfield between Kirchheim and Pfaffengrund.
